Where We Are
Ngaruawahia township is situated about 19 Kilometres north of Hamilton
City in the North Island of New Zealand.
It's located at the confluence of two rivers - the Waikato and the Waipa and is
one of the oldest & most historic settlements in the Waikato District.
Strong cultural ties have long been a characteristic of the town, which is
recognised as being the centre for Waikato Maori. The population is about 4,800 people with an
ethnic mix of 56% Maori, 39% European and 5% other races.
Those who live in Ngaruawahia know it as a friendly town and a pleasant place to
live.
